Sustaining with Patience
"By our sustaining vote, we make solemn promises. We promise to pray for the Lord’s servants and that He will lead and strengthen them (see D&C 93:51). We pledge that we will look for and expect to feel inspiration from God in their counsel and whenever they act in their calling (see D&C 1:38)."
(First Presidency Message June 2012 by President Henry B. Eyring)
". . . my interest in patience is not solely personal; for the necessity of having this intriguing attribute is cited several times in the scriptures, including once by King Benjamin who, when clustering the attributes of sainthood, named patience as a charter member of that cluster (Mosiah 3:19; see also Alma 7:23). " (Patience, by Neal A. Maxwell)
How can I become a better example for my children by increasing my capacity to sustain those around me, especially my husband, with patience?

Faith Not Fear
"Our doctrine is clear; we are to be positive and of good cheer. We emphasize our faith, not our fears. We rejoice in the Lord’s assurance that He will stand by us and give us guidance and direction. The Holy Ghost testifies to our hearts that we have a loving Father in Heaven, whose merciful plan for our redemption will be fulfilled in every aspect because of the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ." (Elder Quentin L. Cook, Ensign May 2012)

How Will My Choices Affect Generations After Me?
I am reading Ether in my Book of Mormon study right now. The thought that keeps coming to me is how much of a different life all the Jaredites could have had if they just would have listened to the council of The Brother of Jared when he said they should not have a king. The Brother of Jared did make the right choice, but the choices of the next generation really affected the next generations and brought much war and difficulty to so many, even those who were faithful.
How will my choices affect those who follow me?
My Assigned Relief Society study this week is:
"Waiting Upon the Lord:Thy Will be Done" " by Elder Hales
I noticed many important action words required to wait upon the lord:
Wait, anticipate, trust, patience, faith, rely on Christ, minister to others, diligence, immoveable in keeping the commandments, say in our prayers:"Thy will be done" . . .
I also noticed the emphasis on the question, "who waits upon me?"
I hope to be inspired to make correct choices and to serve those who wait upon me today,
